CCAC Nurse Aide Training Program

The Nurse Aide Training program at CCAC North Campus in Pittsburgh is tailored to equip students with essential skills for a career as a nursing assistant. Program Objectives

Tasks include feeding, bathing, and assisting patients with exercise and medication. The CCAC program focuses on providing hands-on experience necessary to pass the certification exam, which is administered by Credentia and recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Admission Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of CCAC Physical Form and Verification of Pennsylvania Residency
  • Background checks including Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Record Information, Attestation of Compliance with PA Act 14, and an FBI Criminal History Background Check (if applicable)
  • TABE Test for Adult Assessment

Program Details and Costs

The program fee of $1,999 covers all necessary textbooks and a workbook. Students should also budget for:

  • Uniforms including a white scrub top, cranberry scrub pants, and white sneakers
  • A watch with a second hand
  • A physical examination by a healthcare provider
    Unfortunately, financial aid is not available for this program, but additional support may be accessed through the KEYS Program for eligible TANF and SNAP recipients.
